Fat Lobes!

I was wondering if anybody else is having this problem. My ear lopes are kinda fleshy or thick because I notice that certain stud earrings aren’t long enough to stay in my ear or they squish my lobe so much that I have to take them out because they hurt! I now mostly wear hook earrings!

Let me know if this is just me or does somebody else in this world have this problem?

And why do earring manufacturers not have longer posts on the studs?
